This man was the Best: Grandfather, Father, Friend, Husband, Uncle anyone could ask for.....He was everything and anything , ALL rolled up into one human being !! My movie addiction, came from him, because growing up he never failed to take me to the movies when I came to Savannah.....holding my Poppa's hand and a big tub of popcorn, was better than winning the lottery to me. My personality...the one my friend's love and my husband wishes he had, came from this man. He taught me how to laugh, love and live. From the day I was born until the age of 35 he never failed to kiss me and tell me how much he loved me. Only around him did I feel my youth was immortal because he always treated me as I was still the little black haired, bucked tooth princess he adored. I will always long to feel his grizzly beard stroke my cheek as he whispered, 'I love you, Country' in my ear. that was my nickname, because I was raised in Brooklet 'the country' The depths of my soul will always ACHE for him, but I know he would not want me to be sad and that now he is truly my 'Gaurdian Angel'/....Every time I hear a good joke or go to the movies I know he is right there, enjoying it with me. Good Bye, my sweet Poppa....until we see each other again.....I love you !
